Every year during summer season, there will be Fireworks (hanabi) Celebration celebrated at the West Japan which is known as Ohori Fireworks Display on the 1st of August. This fireworks display event boasts the biggest scale in the city with 6000 shots of fireworks and thousands of visitors. Fireworks are shot off from the central island of a pond in Ohori Park, and it can be seen from all around the lake and nearby area.
We choose to just view the firework from the roadside instead of going to the center of the park to avoid traffic and also to avoid being in the crowd. At first, we just enjoy the firework in the car while driving but then hubby found a spot to park our car for a while and that gives us a good opportunity and of course a better view of the fireworks.
(menikmati bunga api di celah2 lautan manusia & di celah2 pokok)
Baby SN doesn't seem to be distracted at all by the loud noise as he sleeps like a baby *eh memang dia baby pon kan*, during the whole fireworks display. Hubby's attempt to wake him up ends up no where as baby SN enjoy his sleep so much, more than any other things in the world hehehe.
(baby SN tetap tidur walaupun bunyi bunga api tu kuat macam bom atom hohoho)

Few days after the hanabi at Ohori Koen, there's another hanabi display and this time it was held at Imajuku seaside which is only about 5 minutes walking distance from our house. We went to the fireworks display with A-t-qah and my Nihon-go sensei. This time, we could really enjoy the fireworks as we sat along the beach and watch it beyond our eyes.
According to my sensei, "Hana" means flower and "bi" means fire...*kiranya macam bahasa melayu la bahasa jepun ni kan, bunga api. kalau ikut omputih jadi kerja api kui3x* . There were variety of shapes created by the fireworks and three girls that sit next to us were delightfully guessing the shape and sensei will translate it to me hehehe. *ada bentuk butterfly, bentuk bunga, bentuk hati, bentuk dandelion dan macam2 lagi lah*.
It is quite common during this festival to see youngsters wearing summer kimono which is known as yukata *itu yang wat I terliur nak beli yukata untuk baby SN nih hehehe*.
The view of the fireworks from the Imajuku seaside was nice & better than the view at Ohori Koen as we can also see the view of Fukuoka Tower and also the giant ferrie wheels at the background.
The sound was damn loud that I have to cover baby SN's ears to protect him from noise induced sensorineural hearing loss. At first I feel reluctant to bring baby SN to watch the hanabi as I'm worried if he might be afraid of that loud sound but he seems to enjoy the event without being cranky at all.
After the fireworks display was over, we went to Shinozaki sensei's house for a cup of coffee & ice cream treat from her. She loves to hold baby SN and she told me that she feels like baby SN is her grandson. She has a son who has married but dont have any kids and she said that there's a big possibility that she wont have any grandchild until she died. *sedih pulak dengar dia cakap gitu huhuhuhu*.
Though the quality of the picture was not so superb as we forgot to bring the tripod, we still enjoy watching the fireworks display and hope to enjoy it again next year. *Insya Allah kalau di panjangkan usia*. I hope you guys enjoy watching it as much as we do.
