Mimijumi bottle for the fussy little SN jr

Salam,

It has been almost 2 weeks that I started sending SN Jr to a nursery nearby the university. His teachers are having some difficulties to put him to sleep for an afternoon nap. He was sweating like no one's business, while 2 other babies at the nursery were having their sweet afternoon nap.

SN Jr like Abg SN is a 'hot' baby..by 'hot' here; I refer to easily sweating and in need of air condition 24/7..aigoooo. Thus, the only solution for his teacher to put him to sleep is to take off his clothes leaving only his diapers. Itu pun lenguh bahu gak lah teacher tawaf satu rumah tu nak bagi dia tidur....adeh, cobaaaaan.

Luckily he can be easily fed these days after couple of attempts of trying out different bottle. I do understand that it is hard for breastfed babies to drink from a bottle, thus I've tried my best to find the one that has nipples as the most similar to mom's teat. I've tried MAM, Avent, Tommy Tippee and Medela..but to no avail.

At last, I found Mimijumi bottle and thank Allah; it works wonders. Though it is quite pricey (RM68 for 120ml bottle, RM87 for 240ml bottle and RM34 for replacement nipple) ; but as long as my baby is happy..I'm happy too "apalah sangat harga botol tu kalau nak di bandingkan dengan kebahagiaann mu oh anak" *poyo mommy*.

Sudahlah harga nya mahal, bottle ni jugak susah sikit nak jumpa kat kedai. You can get it online at onebabyworld or head on to their respective store. Hari tu I beli kat QQ kids kat batu pahat ni, tapi semalam pergi dah out of stock pulak. Luckily we went to JB last week, ikut daddy yang kena attend workshop for accreditation thingy. So, mommy and both boys lepak2 kat dalam bilik hotel dan bila petang turun swimming kat pool eheh

+- melepak kat bilik je while daddy attending meeting -+

+- SN jr's first swimming pool experience. muka berkerut sebab mengantuk -+

Bila daddy ada break untuk dinner baru sempat keluar pergi FabulousMom stoe to buy this bottle. Check out the store yang jual mimijumi bottle ni here.

Well anyway, to other breastfed mom that are having difficulties on finding the perfect bottle for your baby, I would highly recommend this bottle. Thanks to the genius inventors of Mimijumi bottle, my fussy little baby can finally drink the expressed breastmilk using  bottle

Pssssttt : kalau tak jumpa botol ni hari tu, nampak gaya nya teachers kat nursery tu kena feed SN Jr guna syringe la kot huhuhuh.

Graduation ceremony in Japan

Salam u ollls,

Tora datang lagiii eh eh eh I muncul lagi...amboii rilek nampak kije sbg lecturer sampai boleh update blog regularly ehehhe. Takde makna rilek nye pon; tapi dah nama pun baru lapor diri, jadi belum dapat workload lagi. Infact bilik pun tak dapat lagi, menumpang kasih kat bilik incik hubby je minggu ni...jadi mari lah update blog dengan ceritera tertangguh sebelum2 ni.

Let's take a look at my graduation ceremony last week (26/03/2013). There were 2 sessions for the ceremony. The first session was held at Fukuoka Kokusai Center and the second session was held at the department in the university.

+- before the ceremony begin -+

The first session at Fukuoka Kokusai Center started at 12.10 p.m for the post-graduate student. Earlier, before that, a graduation ceremony for undergraduate student was held at that venue at 9.50 a.m. We arrived at the hall by 12 p.m. I was supposed to sit on the ground floor with other students, but it will be difficult for hubby to handle both SNs so I decided to sit in the family area too with them.

+- mak incik duduk kat seat family jetak duduk kat seat student kat ground floor -+

The thing about the graduation ceremony in Japan is that it wasn't as 'grand' as the one that we have experienced in Malaysia *jubah pun tak ada wehterpaksa mak incik import sendiri dari Malaysia ngeee*. The ceremony begins with a little speech by someone "important" (excuse me for that, I didn't know who was it as the ceremony was conducted solely in Japanese language).

+- MC -+

After that, 5 students who represent each faculty were given the scroll on the stage.......... And then, the ceremony finish!. That was it, only the representatives gets to go on the stage, as for other students...you'll get your certificate personally on the second session at your department.

+- 5 representatives from each faculties -+

Pretty much, the formal graduation ceremony took about 40 minutes only. Kalau kat Malaysia, separuh hari tunggu dalam dewan tu ye dak? ekekekekThankfully it took only 40 minutes as my husband and I were having some difficulties to handle both SNs. Abg SN wanted to run here and there on the stairs while SN Jr wanted to be fed and finally fell asleep half way through the ceremony ehehe.

+- Abg SN muka bengang baru lepas kena marah dengan mommy sebab main lari2 kat tangga, SN jr pulak bantai tidur berdengkur dengkur -+

We took the chance to snap a few photos outside of the hall before heading to Ito campus, Kyushu University for the 2nd session.

The 2nd session was held at the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics Engineering for me as I was under that department of study. For this session, PhD students were seated on the first line and then followed by the master students. I was seated at the 3rd row.

+- sebelah kanan tu professors in our department -+

Hubby had to handle both SNs on his own so that explained why there's no proper pic of me receiving the scroll. Luckily this session was also short and fast..it took about 15 minutes only...and then we're done!. Phew, I'm glad it's over as SN Jr started to cry already by the time the ceremony was over.

+- yours truly di kelilingi kumbang2 berkot hitam ngeee -+

+- gambar blur..tu pun hubby snap lepas dah dapat certificate. haiyohh, blur pun tetap nak tepek gak lah ahaha -+

There was a simple party after the session but I decided not to join the party as both SNs are getting bored with all the formalities of mommy's graduation ceremony.

+- sempat posing dengan SV je, lepas tu Abg SN sibuk2 nak pegang cert & scroll mommy -+

So we decided to have our own outdoor photography at the campus, but SN Jr had already fallen asleep.. thus explains what the stroller are doing in the pic below hahaha.

+- SN Jr tengah sedap mentidurkan diri dalam stroller, Abg SN pulak pose 'oppa gangnam style' -+

Abg SN was giving full cooperation for the photo shoot as he enjoys wearing the smart outfit that he addressed as 'baju oppa gangnam style' LOL. He even poses like Psy in those photos. Sigh, I wonder where he watches the oppa Gangnam style video as I never showed it to him. I guess when things become viral, it is hard for parents to control what their child was viewing these days with all the technology within the fingertips.

+- angin bertiup kencang masa ni, tapi sengih tetap sengih ngeee -+

+- last pose kat batu bersurat Kyushu University eheh -+

We called the day off with a simple celebration at Baskin Robbins AEON Gakkentoshi. No bouquet of flowers as a graduation present or any chocolates like the one that we'll receive in Malaysia *kononnya lagi banyak pegang bunga, lagi nampak macam ramai peminat..ececececeh*.

+- nyam nyam nyam...dapnyer dapnyer -+

+- kampaiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii -+

I guess the best gift for this graduation is SN Jr. He was the best gift that I've received a few months before I finish my study. Despite all the hardships and days of living apart with him after he was born, I finally was able to receive my PhD certificate together with the greatest certificate as a mother of 2 sons *wink wink*.

Sayounara Nihon

Salam,

I don't know where to start, there's lots of things to share with you guys. Maybe I should start this entry by telling you that SN's family was already here in Malaysia. And yes, we were officially back for good to Malaysia last Friday (29th Mac 2013).

+- last moment in Japan. Will treasure all the bittersweet memories for the past 4 and 1/2 years there -+

We left Fukuoka on 27th Mac 2013, and headed to Tokyo for 2 days visit before our flight back to Malaysia. The flight journey wasn't that easy especially when you are travelling with active 4 years old toddler and a cranky 5 month old little baby.

+- we left hotel by 5.30 a.m. Both of them were sleepy so I had to put them in the stroller while hubby pushing the luggage cart -+

SN Jr was crying most of the time on the flight, not sure whether he was afraid of the loud sound or he feel uneasy with the pressure on the plane. The only time he wasn't crying was when he was asleep. Daddy has to Tawaf on the plane to shush him. Phew, I guess no more flight trip for the next few months.

+- SN Jr wanted to enjoy the in-flight entertainment with Abg SN -+

+- SN Jr sleeping like a boss inside the baby bassinet -+

+- Abg SN behaves well on the plane...Alhamdulillah -+

+- a tired daddy that has to handle 2 kids on the 7 hours journey from Tokyo Narita to Kuala Lumpur; as mommy was down with air and motion sickness -+

Right now, the 4 of us are adapting to a new routine as I have also started to report duty at a university somewhere in Batu Pahat. We rented a house somewhere near Carrefour Batu Pahat, so it took about 20-30 mins to arrive at work for mommy & daddy (yes, both of us are working at the same university).

I still struggle with time management, especially during the early morning where I have to prepare SN Jr's EBM to bring to the nursery and to help Abg SN getting ready to go to Little Caliph kindergarten. Not to forget, getting myself ready...especially to iron the baju kurung (that I haven't worn for quite some time), tepek bedak as well as selecting the scarf that match with the outfit...haiyohhhhhhhh.

+- my 1st and 2nd day at work. menyibuk dulu kat ofis hubby utk tumpang pam susu sebab tak dapat bilik lagi hohoho -+

Whatever it is, I'm sure we'll be able to catch up with this new routine soon and I'll be able to update my blog regularly (hopefully). Now, please excuse me as I have to learn lots of new things regarding to my new life as an academician at Malaysian university. Wish me luck, girls!

Pssssttt : kalau ternampak I kat batu pahat or kat mana2, tegur2 lah ye *bajet femes* eheh
