Graduation ceremony in Japan

Salam u ollls,

Tora datang lagiii eh eh eh I muncul lagi...amboii rilek nampak kije sbg lecturer sampai boleh update blog regularly ehehhe. Takde makna rilek nye pon; tapi dah nama pun baru lapor diri, jadi belum dapat workload lagi. Infact bilik pun tak dapat lagi, menumpang kasih kat bilik incik hubby je minggu ni...jadi mari lah update blog dengan ceritera tertangguh sebelum2 ni.

Let's take a look at my graduation ceremony last week (26/03/2013). There were 2 sessions for the ceremony. The first session was held at Fukuoka Kokusai Center and the second session was held at the department in the university.

+- before the ceremony begin -+

The first session at Fukuoka Kokusai Center started at 12.10 p.m for the post-graduate student. Earlier, before that, a graduation ceremony for undergraduate student was held at that venue at 9.50 a.m. We arrived at the hall by 12 p.m. I was supposed to sit on the ground floor with other students, but it will be difficult for hubby to handle both SNs so I decided to sit in the family area too with them.

+- mak incik duduk kat seat family jetak duduk kat seat student kat ground floor -+

The thing about the graduation ceremony in Japan is that it wasn't as 'grand' as the one that we have experienced in Malaysia *jubah pun tak ada wehterpaksa mak incik import sendiri dari Malaysia ngeee*. The ceremony begins with a little speech by someone "important" (excuse me for that, I didn't know who was it as the ceremony was conducted solely in Japanese language).

+- MC -+

After that, 5 students who represent each faculty were given the scroll on the stage.......... And then, the ceremony finish!. That was it, only the representatives gets to go on the stage, as for other students...you'll get your certificate personally on the second session at your department.

+- 5 representatives from each faculties -+

Pretty much, the formal graduation ceremony took about 40 minutes only. Kalau kat Malaysia, separuh hari tunggu dalam dewan tu ye dak? ekekekekThankfully it took only 40 minutes as my husband and I were having some difficulties to handle both SNs. Abg SN wanted to run here and there on the stairs while SN Jr wanted to be fed and finally fell asleep half way through the ceremony ehehe.

+- Abg SN muka bengang baru lepas kena marah dengan mommy sebab main lari2 kat tangga, SN jr pulak bantai tidur berdengkur dengkur -+

We took the chance to snap a few photos outside of the hall before heading to Ito campus, Kyushu University for the 2nd session.

+- Both SNs malas layan mommy & daddy ajak bergambar -+

+- posing koya by yours truly depan hall; am wearing Jovian rtw size M sebab hubby tak bagi beli yang size XS takut ketat sangat kat pinggang -+

The 2nd session was held at the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics Engineering for me as I was under that department of study. For this session, PhD students were seated on the first line and then followed by the master students. I was seated at the 3rd row.

+- sebelah kanan tu professors in our department -+

Hubby had to handle both SNs on his own so that explained why there's no proper pic of me receiving the scroll. Luckily this session was also short and fast..it took about 15 minutes only...and then we're done!. Phew, I'm glad it's over as SN Jr started to cry already by the time the ceremony was over.

+- yours truly di kelilingi kumbang2 berkot hitam ngeee -+

+- gambar blur..tu pun hubby snap lepas dah dapat certificate. haiyohh, blur pun tetap nak tepek gak lah ahaha -+

There was a simple party after the session but I decided not to join the party as both SNs are getting bored with all the formalities of mommy's graduation ceremony.

+- sempat posing dengan SV je, lepas tu Abg SN sibuk2 nak pegang cert & scroll mommy -+

So we decided to have our own outdoor photography at the campus, but SN Jr had already fallen asleep.. thus explains what the stroller are doing in the pic below hahaha.

+- SN Jr tengah sedap mentidurkan diri dalam stroller, Abg SN pulak pose 'oppa gangnam style' -+

Abg SN was giving full cooperation for the photo shoot as he enjoys wearing the smart outfit that he addressed as 'baju oppa gangnam style' LOL. He even poses like Psy in those photos. Sigh, I wonder where he watches the oppa Gangnam style video as I never showed it to him. I guess when things become viral, it is hard for parents to control what their child was viewing these days with all the technology within the fingertips.

+- angin bertiup kencang masa ni, tapi sengih tetap sengih ngeee -+

+- last pose kat batu bersurat Kyushu University eheh -+

We called the day off with a simple celebration at Baskin Robbins AEON Gakkentoshi. No bouquet of flowers as a graduation present or any chocolates like the one that we'll receive in Malaysia *kononnya lagi banyak pegang bunga, lagi nampak macam ramai peminat..ececececeh*.

+- nyam nyam nyam...dapnyer dapnyer -+

+- kampaiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii -+

I guess the best gift for this graduation is SN Jr. He was the best gift that I've received a few months before I finish my study. Despite all the hardships and days of living apart with him after he was born, I finally was able to receive my PhD certificate together with the greatest certificate as a mother of 2 sons *wink wink*.

~ Thanks for reading this (^-*) ~
