Sebenarnya 'neraka' ni ialah kolam air panas which are presented to visitors in a rather touristy fashion, for viewing purpose rather than bathing. The hells are too hot to be diluted into onsen(hot spring), and they emerge at temperatures ranging from 50 to 99.5 °C (122 to 210 °F). There are 8 spectacular hot springs where 6 of the hells are located in the Kannawa district and 2 in the more remote Shibaseki district.
Entrance fee for each individual "hell" cost 400yen, while the combination ticket to enter all the 9 "hells" is 2000yen. So, kitorang ambik tiket untuk masuk semua "neraka2" tu lah, sekali semuru hidup je kot nak gi tempat macam ni kan. Alang2 dah sampai tu, redah je la masuk tengok semua "neraka2" tu.
Operating hours for the eight hells are 8:00AM-5:00PM. Pagi2 lepas check out je dari hostel Khaosan tu, dan berpandukan peta dan GPS kitorang sampai ke tempat tu around 10 a.m. Most of the hells have a natural smell of sulfur — which comes out a bit like rotten eggs *sambil posing, sambil tutup hidung tak tahan bau sulfur yang busyuk*.
Most of the time we are using the compact camera sebab hubby dukung Nazhan *malas nak tolak stroller celah orang ramai dan tak nak bagi dia jalan sendiri sebab malas nak kejar dia lari sana sini*, and I dukung kamera godang.
(1) Umi Jigoku (Sea Hell)
--> The "sea hell" features a pond of hot, blue water. It is one of the more beautiful hells.
--> We were greeted by a dance performance by the demons from the hell *setan berjoget*.
(2) Oniishibozu Jigoku (Shaven Monk's Head Hell)
--> This hell is named after the mud bubbles, which emerge from boiling mud pools and look like the shaven heads of monks
--> "neraka" ni menarik sebab dalam tasik tu bukannya air, sebaliknya lumpur berwarna kelabu.
--> siap boleh nampak bubbles 'blup blup' kat permukaan lumpur kolam ni
(3) Shiraike Jigoku (White Pond Hell)
--> According to its name, the "white pond hell" features a pond of hot, milky white water.
--> When the water spouts from the ground, it is colorless and transparent, but as time passes it turns blue-white.
--> Kat kolam "neraka" ni jugak ada akuarium untuk ikan air tawar termasuklah jugak spesies ikan air patin pun ada kat akuarium tu
(4) Yana Jigoku (Mountain Hell)
--> The "mountain hell" features small ponds of steaming hot water and a small zoo with small cages.
--> Sempatlah Nazhan menjenguk gajah dan hippo masa kat "neraka" ni.
(5) Kamada Jigoku (Oven Hell)
--> The "cooking pot hell" features several boiling ponds and a flashy demon statue as cook.
--> Siap ada stalls jual telur rebus kat situ. Kami tak beli pun sebab takut kang kentut busuk depan orang ramai tu hik3x.
--> This pond changes it's color a couple of times a year.
(6) Oniyama Jigoku (Monster Mountain Hell)
--> Crocodiles are bred and kept on the grounds of the "monster mountain hell"
Those 6 hells are within walking distance of each other.

Those 6 hells are within walking distance of each other.
- Umi-Jigoku (Sea Hell)
- Oniishibozu-Jigoku (Shaven Monk's Head Hell)
- Yama-Jigoku (Mountain Hell)
- Kamado-Jigoku (Boiling Hell)
- Oniyama-Jigoku (Demon Mountain Hell)
- Shiraike-Jigoku (White Pond Hell)
Two more hells are about 2.5km away, so we drove to the next 2 hells.
(7) Chinoike Jigoku (Blood Pond Hell)
--> The "blood pond hell" features a pond of hot, red water.
--> It is the most photogenic of the nine hells, tapi bila I posing tepi kolam tu, terus gambar tu jadi 'photogedik' dah kui3x.
--> Airnya warna merah macam lumpur gitu, suhu nya pulak 99.5 °C.
(8) Tatsumaki Jigoku (Spout Hell)
--> The "spout hell" features a boiling hot geyser, which erupts every 25-30 minutes for about five minutes.
--> Masa kitorang masuk tu, kena tunggu 20 mins untuk the next eruption. Since tahap kesabar kurang dalam bab2 menunggu ni, kitorang blah cam tu je lah..tak tunggu pun eruption tu meletus.
=- left pic: tempat sepatutnya eruption meletus-=
=- right pic: pagar kat depan area shrine, umi jigoku-=
Psssstttt: kata je sakit perut la apa kan, tapi tetap meriah photogedix berpuluh2 snap ngeeeee -=
