Baru2 ni, masa bloghopping kat few blogs;Penyakit 'kronik' akibat jangkitan iklan & gambar makanan muncul kembali. Aiseh, kali ni akibat terliur nak makan a Traditional French Pastries i.e. Macaroons.
I've never in my life have a taste of it, but I'm drooling to try it because the cute and the colorful looks of the Macaroons have made it look super delicious.

However, these two shops aren't so much in the walking distance from my house. Plus, the price of these cute-looking foods is quiet pricey for a patisserie. Thus, I forced myself to do what I can do the best; that is to look for the recipe in the internet, and start making my own macaroons by referring to the recipe provided by Noreen.
Cara2:
- ayakkan gula aising, serbuk badam dan serbuk koko --> ketepikan
- pukul putih telur dengan cream of tartar sehingga berbuih
- masukkan gula sedikit demi sedikit sambil dipukul sehingga gebu dan kembang (apabila diangkat dengan spatula adunan tidak mudah jatuh)
- kaupbalikkan adunan tepung sedikit demi sedikit sebanyak 4 kali sehingga sebati
- masukkan adunan ke dalam piping bag
- dengan menggunakan 5mm nozzle pipekan adunan ke atas dulang pembakar yang telah digris atau dilapik dengan non-stick paper sebesar 2.5cm
- setelah itu hentakkan dulang pembakar tadi untuk mengeluarkan angin
- ketepikan selama 1 jam supaya adunan mengeras
- kemudian bakar pada suhu 150C selama 15 min atau sehingga keras
- biarkan sejuk sebelum di angkat dari dulang dan diisikan dengan filling
untuk membuat filling:
- ayakkan dulu gula aising
- kemudian satukan semua bahan dan pukul sehingga sekadar sebati
- simpan di dalam fridge lebih kurang 1 jam sebelum digunakan
Notes & tips:
- untuk dapatkan saiz yang sama, I lukis bulatan guna syiling atas non-stick paper
- sebab sekarang ni winter, so I tak perlu tunggu sejam untuk sejukkan adunan lepas dah paip atas dulang, I cuma letak dulang kat luar rumah, dalam masa 5 minit adunan dah pun mengeras. kalau u all, mungkin boleh try letak depan aircond untuk cepatkan proses tu
- guna pisau yang tajam untuk kikiskan dari dulang pembakar atau non-stick paper dan hati2 kerana ianya mudah rapuh. sebaik2nya lapikkan dulang pembakar dengan non-stick paper/parchment paper supaya senang untuk diangkat.
I have to admit that it wasn't as difficult as I thought it will be to make my own macarons, but then I have to also admit the harsh reality that my macaroons was not in the same look as the macaroons that are sell in store.
Dang!. The upper part of my macaroons crack and hell it doesn't look delicious at all. But, believe me when I say that it really is delicious, coz hubby cant seem to stop eating it when I offered it to him.
My hubby has a high standard on a food, thus when he said "sedap", he really meant it!. *Or else, mungkin hubby tipu je cakap sedap sebab takut I meroyan mintak bawak gi beli macaroons kat kedai hehe*.

Erm, I guess these experience of making my own macaroons has left me to 2 options:-
(A) Try making it again until I can master the art of 'macaronage'
OR
(B) Give up and move my butt to the store where I can get the real lovely look and delicious macarons made by the experts

Ermm, I guess I should just pick the second option and ask hubby to bring me to the shops. Perhaps, this coming weekend is the perfect time to go to the shop, don't you think so darling? Ngeeeeee.
