Last night was Christmas eve and as Muslim, I am not supposed to celebrate Christmas as this celebration were meant for Christian. As there was a small church nearby our area, I could hear the Christmas song were played all night long and it somehow trigger my mind down memory lane to a Christmas eve night back in Sevilla, Spain about 2 years ago.
During that time, my classmate and I from the 2nd batch of EuMAS (European Master in Aeronautics & Space) had organized a 10 days road trip to travel with car along the south part of Spain. Since most of them were Christian, they were excited to celebrate Christmas with friends. We had a Christmas eve dinner at one of our friend's house.
As none of us: Malaysian's students is Christian (2 org Islam, 3 org Buddha, 1 org Hindu), we just took the Christmas eve dinner as a usual dinner with an addition of more Spanish tapas i.e more food to eat hehe. The food served on that dinner were Ensaladillarussa, Shrimp, Tortilla, Bacon, Ham and many more. There was also a special exchange gift session where I was given the Real Madrid Muffler by Wani.

(the superb taste of Spanish food)
While we were enjoying the dinner, one of our classmate from Vietnam known as SSK had asked us how to say "Merry Christmas" in Malay language. After cracking our head and thinking for some time *sebab dah hampir lupa apa Merry Christmas dalam bahasa melayu*, we told him that it is "Selamat Hari Natal", to answer SSK's question.
He then repeated what we said and told the whole class (with his loud voice) to change the "Merry Christmas" wishes to "Selamat Hari Gatal"..... muahahahaha... wakakakakaka. All of us the Malaysian student laughed out loud every time we hear it, but none of us take any effort to correct them. It's nice though to listen to that "Selamat Hari Gatal" wishes instead of Merry Christmas or Selamat Hari Natal. *Jadi, taklah Wani & I risau nak reply ucapan mereka eheh --> refer : Hukum Mengucapkan Merry Christmas - fatwa Qardhawi*.
