Few days ago I'm happy to see some ads at my Commercial Break section. I was thinking that this will surely add up the amount of money in my account. I am thankful that the ads displayed at my blog will maybe gives some extra money to me.
But, as I look carefully on the ads...I stumbled and become speechless. The ads is merely about promoting one of the product by one prestigious bank; and I have nothing against the idea of having the card to made our life easier. The thing that surprised me is that the marketing strategy for promoting this card is highlighting the inessential rewards as it's priority. The first scene of the ads shows:-

My oh my, though Malaysia is considering ourselves as Islamic Country...why does things kind of thing become hugely promoted?.
I personally thinks that the marketing team of this product should highlighting other necessary and gripping rewards, rather than highlighting the FREE entry into ZOUK to promote their product. Anyone agrees with me?

On another story, the Islamic Fashion Festival (IFF) 2010 that took place in Kuala Lumpur is becoming more and more ridiculous and straying far away from their original concept. The idea of having this Islamic Fashion Festival in the first place is to show to the world how nice and beautiful the fashion as according to Islam.
According to BERNAMA, Rosmah, wife of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, said : "The Islamic Fashion Festival is precisely intended to end the myth that a Muslim woman cannot posses a sense of style. On the contrary, Islamic dressing is a style of its own, and today it is beginning to attract more and more attention, as mainstream trends become increasingly bold, sensual and provocative which is unappealing to the more conservative consumers," she said.
Now, let's check out those Islamic Fashion designs portrayed by the Islamic fashion designers through their models in the IFF 2010 :-

Erm, now after looking at this picture, it really makes me wonder where does the Islamic Fashion fits in any of these pictures???...erm..erm...erm..... Maybe I am the one that Rosmah acknowledge as a "conservative consumers" because honestly, I don't like any of those designs in these IFF 2010.
I guess the organizers and everyone that is related to this IFF should really take a deep breath and look back at the archive pictures of their past years achievement during IFF 2006 - 2008. At least there were some thing to be call Islamic Fashion from the designs presented on IFF 2006-2008.

Amin.
