There's a saying that says "you should always trust your instinct". But sometimes you might be stuck in a situation where you don't really have ample time to do what your instinct ask you to do.
That instinct thingy has something to do with me on last Friday. I was on my way to the class. The class was started at 1 p.m but I was supposed to meet hubby to get the access card to enter the campus by 12.20 p.m because he'll have to attend the Jumaat prayer by 12.30 p.m.
After inserting the car key all the way into the ignition, I noticed the empty fuel indicator displaying on the fuel gauge where the needle points was pointing to "E" indicating an empty tank. My instinct were telling me that I have to fill in the fuel as soon as possible before the car went out of gas.
So I call hubby to seek for his opinion and ask whether I could stop at the gas station to fill in the tank first or should I just continue on my way to the class straight away?. Thus, hubby ask me to check on the Digital Fuel-Mileage Indicators on the car's Satellite-Linked Navigation System. So, I checked on it and it shows that the car can at least move for another 20km+.
The distances between my home to Ito Campus, Kyushu University is about 10km away. Thus, hubby said that the fuel is enough for a journey to the campus and I can just fill in the tank when I finish the class. With hubby's approval, off I go.
But then, when I was about 2 km away from the campus' gate, the car's broke down all of the sudden. I can feel that it slowly decelerating and so I quickly turn the steering wheel to the left so that at least when the car stopped, the car was not stopping in the middle of the road. It's an automatic transmission cars, there's no way you can push it to make it move to the side when the car's broke down.
It was scorching hot that day. I am sweating like a pig and sitting helplessly in the car doing nothing. I couldn't turn on the air-condition because obviously I couldn't ignite the car. I don't want to open the window wide as I was feeling embarrassed *kereta je besar, tapi tak de minyak, tak ke malu ngeeee*. I called for hubby's help and I have to wait for at leas 30 - 40 minutes before the help arrived.
He went to the pump station to buy the fuel, but he was told that they don't sell fuel in a bottle but instead hubby has to go and buy a portable 10L fuel tank to fill in the petrol. So, hubby went to the Autobacs ( car-services store) and bought the tank before going back again to the gas station.
While waiting for hubby to arrive all I could do was sitting as low as I could on the chair and put my face down so that no one could see my face hahaha. The moment when hubby arrived with a 10L fuel filled in the portable tank, I jumped out of the car and laughing madly on his face.
It was pretty hilarious though seeing hubby pouring in the fuel inside the car's tank. I'm glad that it was not at peak hour and there aren't so many cars passing by on that time. If not I don't know how am I going to face this world ever again *I'm exaggerating*.
Thus, I was late for the class that day and you know how the Japanese are when dealing with time matters. I'm glad that sensei was in a good mood that day and I wasn't being scold for being 15 minutes late to the class.
Nevertheless, these kereta-mati-sebab-tak-ada-minyak has taught me some valuable lessons :-

- Never put your 100% trust on the Digital Fuel Indicator because it can went hay-wired sometimes as it is all controlled by computerized system
- Always trust on your instinct before doing anything rather than risking your life/dignity doing the thing that you aren't supposed to do in the first place.
- The perfect idiom for these situation sounds like this --> "orang kedekut selalu rugi, bagai Yatie Chomeyl dengan minyak kereta".
Has anyone of you who was reading this entry had face this kind of situation of kereta-mati-sebab-tak-ada-minyak before this?. If you do, please share it in the comments section so that I'll know that I'm not the only one who has been in this embarrassing situation like this eheh.

kater alim ulamak gerak hati manusia sangat penting..jangan sesekali endahkan...kiter kadang2 hidup terlalu moden sampai kiter lupa spiritual side but wise ppl will always advise think with your heart is better than think with your mind..bukan maksudnyer kiter emosional tapi pemikiran at times boleh mengaburi tapi gerak hati amat jarang mengaburi...gerak hati yg pertama tu... :)
