Global Environment Centre (GEC), with support from the ASEAN Peatland
Forests Project (APFP), SEApeat Project, Canon Marketing (Malaysia) Sdn
Bhd, Canon Opto (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd and Malaysian Nature Society (MNS)
Photogroup, is pleased to announce the launch of a photography contest "Our Precious Peatland"; to promote sustainable
management of peatlands in Southeast Asia.
The contest starts from 1 July 2012 until 30 Sept 2012
and it is open to photographers of all nationalities but photos must be
taken from the peatlands in Southeast Asia by focusing on biodiversity
and livelihood.
It's a photo contest to raise awareness on Southeast Asian peatlands and the communities living in and around it. The deadline for submissions of digital photographs is 30 September 2012.

Info tambahan dari I, untuk yang tak tahu "PEATLAND" tu apa, senang citer ia sebenarnya tanah gambut. Kalau nak tahu tempat2 yang ada peatlands kat Malaysia, boleh rujuk kat A Quick Scan of Peatlands in Malaysia.
Ini gambar peatland kat Raja Muda Musa Forest yang I snap few months ago, sebagai rujukan untuk yang tak kenal peatland tu macamana.
Tak semestinya yang ada kamera DSLR saja boleh join. Kalau kamera compact pun, kalau subjek gambar tu menarik..Insya Allah akan ada peluang nak menang.

wow..meriahnya hadiahnya..tapi macam tak lalu la pulak nak terjah tanah gambut ni..rasanya kampung ayah kat batu pahat tu banyak la..
