Romantika di Ohori Koen

Last Monday; 23/11/2009 was a public holiday in Japan for celebrating the Labor Thanksgiving Day. After having our lunch, hubby decided to take baby SN and I for a day out to Ohori Park for sightseeing. This park was located about 15km away from our home in Imajuku.

Ohori park is a compact but nationally famous park built around an artificial lake that was once part of the moat of Fukuoka castle. Opened in 1929 it has a Chinese theme, (it is modeled on the Xi Hi lake in China) and it is possible to walk across the center of the lake on a series of Chinese style bridges and small islands. Although close to the center of the city, the park manages to be lushly green most of the year round and provides a pleasant haven from the concrete of Tenjin. (source: here)

(menguap pulak si kecik nih)

Ohori Park, is a great place to exercise! It’s a great place to walk, jog, roller blade, skateboard, or cycle. The distance around the park is 2.2 kilometers, which is perfect for a nice stroll or a jog. (source: here). Part of the path that goes around the park is made of a softer material so it’s a little easier on your joints. Though we have a good time walking in the park, I am quiet disturbed with so many dogs around us..hohoho *dasar si penakut*. As this is the perfect place for walking, it also means the perfect place to take the dog for a walk as well...aiseh, terketar2 kaki I bila anjing lalu sebelah I. Padahal anjing2 tu di ikat, I je yang fobia lebih2 huhu.

(nice view during Autumn season)

The spectacular view of the lake scintillated with the reflection of the sun somehow had create a romantic feeling for the three of us *ceewah, macamlah baby SN faham romantik tu apa ngeee*. We sit for a while on the bench to sit in the shade of large tree and look out over the lake and enjoy the view and then macam biasa, posing macam2 gaya by the lake gatai eheh.

( konon2nya posing romantik ber3 hoho)

Apart from the captivating view of the lake, a panoramic view of yellow leaves from the gingko tree adds up the attractive spot in Ohori Koen. We met some Indonesians guys who were also there for an evening walk with friends. Baby SN seems to be delighted with the shape of the gingko leaves and he wanted to chew the yellow leaves isk3x.

We left the park few minutes before sunset as it was getting dark already. While heading to the car park, we met with an old statue next to the park. The statue looks a bit spooky to me so I refused when hubby asked me to stand next to it to take a picture *memang dasar si penakut* * gatai ngeeee.

(statue yang menyeramkan)

Pssssttt: I memang penakut, tengok cerita seram sambil ngintai kat celah2 jari pastu malam2 bila nak gi toilet, paksa orang temankan * gatai muahahahaha.
