Living in a foreign country shouldn't be an excuse for a Muslim to exempt from our task and obligation in spreading Islam. Therefore KUMSA (Kyushu University Muslim Student Association) has taken a righteous action by organizing the Islamic Week and Food Festival held at Kyushu University from April 19th-24th 2010.
There were few activities and events held during the Islamic Week and Food festival such as :-
(1) Exhibition about halal food and Masjid Fukuoka
--> held at the university foyer for 2 days
--> gives a better understanding about Islam to others especially to the students of Kyushu University
(2) Islamic dress exhibition
--> I pun bagi few pieces of my baju kurung + kebaya + jubah + baju Kahwin I untuk di pakai oleh orang2 Jepun tu, siap keluar berita dalam paper Jepun tuuuu *refer: Nishi Nippon (here)*

(3) Food Festival
--> Team Malaysia prepared nasi ayam + karipap + roti jala for the food festival.

Ingat senang ke tugas I tu? ekekkeekek
Nasib baik baby SN tak meragam masa I kena "bertugas" packing food dan agih2kan makanan tu; hubby took great care of baby SN while I'm busy with my task. Punyalah laku makanan2 tu sampaikan orang2 Malaysia sendiri pun ada yang tak sempat nak merasa kelazatan makanan2 yang di hidangkan oleh team Malaysia on that food festival day; nasib baik ada gerai negara2 lain gak...leh la nyendeng2 dan mengepau food dari meja diorang ekekekeke. *credit photos to Syamim's blog (here)*
(4) Lecture by Ust Hussain Yee
--> Shaikh Hussain Yee is a Malaysian born into a Buddhist Family but embraced Islam at the age of 18 in 1968. He pursued further studies at the Islamic University of Madinah in Saudi Arabia majoring in Hadith.

Despite few hurdles and troubles that we have to face by being in a non-Islamic countries (e.g: susah cari tempat untuk solat, susah cari makanan halal, menghadapi orang2 yang tak faham erti halal haram makanan etc); I strongly believe that in a way Allah is giving us a SUPER + GREAT chance to spread Islam to others. This kind of activity & event might not gives significant impact instantly but hopefully with continuous effort, more people will be interested to embrace Islam in Japan..insya Allah.
