I pergi Lisbon dengan kawan2 sekelas masa master dulu2, on Dec 2007.

In case kalau ada yang hairan apasal tiba2 I gedik nak update cerita yang dah bertahun-tahun basi berkulat ni, sebab Oyis ada mintak tips on tempat jalan2 yang best kat Lisbon. Lagipun I memang tak pernah share entry pasal jalan2 kat Lisbon jugak sebelum ni kan, so let's enjoy entry untuk segmen Travel & Living di blog Yatie Chomeyl kali ni.

Here are the list of tourist attractions places that I've visited during the trip to Lisbon :-

(1) Monument to the Discoveries
One of the most famous sights in Lisbon, situated on the riverbank in the Avenida de Brasilia in the district of Belem and designed to commemorate the Portuguese Age of Discovery.
Belem(where the Tagus meets the sea), is the point from which the maritime explorers of yore set forth in their sailing ships to discover the world.

The massive monument takes the form of a caravel with Prince Henry at the prow, backed by images of renowned mariners, royal patrons and others who participated in the golden age of discovery.

(2) Tower of Belem
The famous Tower of Belem is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and is one of Lisbon's most photographed landmarks because of the decoration on its exterior.

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjutyrHhzgvUrSTDq0XA4vLpufCgyGsRSBHychThazTDtR_lJdj9NaMcAHx-c7urj-K2UFn0wXhkKxk-un6mWEBEKHXBk9RLm-0T1jQ0M-AZNJ-3TvdBh56w4ySOKhRb_jXj8EP0GitE68/s1600/edited+pics3-2.jpg

The outer walls are adorned with a stone-carved rope and beautiful openwork balconies, along with Moorish watchtowers and battlements shaped like shields.
The tower was built in the 16th century to serve as a fortress in the middle of the River Tagus.

(3) Sé de Lisboa
Although this cathedral in Largo da Se in the Alfama district is not outwardly appealing, it was the first church in Lisbon, built on the site of a Saracen mosque after the city was captured by the Crusaders in the 12th century.
► I tak masuk pun dalam church ni sebaliknya I jalan2 kat luar2 Cathedral tu. Ada banyak kedai jual sourvenir yang murah2 even yang harga 2 Euro pun ada macam fridge magnet, key chain, miniature and etc.

(4) Vasco da Gama Bridge
Vasco da Gama Bridge is Europe's longest bridge which is 17km (11 miles) long (10km/6 miles of which pass over water), opened in 1998 and still today one of the longest in the world.

(5) Rua Augusta
It is Lisbon's main pedestrian street

This is a lively pedestrian street with mosaic pavements, outdoor cafes, international shops, and the occasional street artist and peddler.
Immigrants from Africa and South America offer items of wood, metal, or leather, while other vendors sell books, souvenirs, sunglasses, paintings, t-shirts, and anything else to attract the crowds passing by.

(6) Sintra
► This place is also known as Portugal's fairytale town on the edge of Europe
Sintra and its mystical hills dotted with fairytale palaces and extravagant villas have bewitched visitors for centuries. Kat Sintra ni ada 3 tempat yang kitorang pergi iaitu Moorish castle, Castelo dos Mourosa, Palácio da Pena dan Cabo da Roca.

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhoPuyZuVvvXdHC1n7fJZqJgx_33zdB-8UzrVdP4kc8_EOulvNiJ3L8bN-k_-r4MzVW_qBc4WbKPqLNzo64ttfVnHAZOp-26ohR9-IqBVFhz1nW886nCIXGzeaL5Q2nDKm8YucghY-EiBI/s1600/IMGP4168.JPG

It is easy to reach from the capital, just a 30-minute drive on the IC19 highway. If you go by train, the ride takes about 40 minutes from Rossio Station in the center of Lisbon.

(a) Moorish Castle

When the Muslims retreated to the south, the Castle was abandoned. The ruins of the Moorish Castle are recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Nama istana ni di ambil sempena The Moors ( Islamic peoples who had arrived to the Iberian Peninsula from Northern Africa in 711). They were conquering the Christian lands, they built strong castles and fortifications in many cities but, most of the castles has been extensively remodelled after the Christian reconquest.

(b) Castelo dos Mourosa
► It is a stone pathway that will lead to the ruins of the Castle of Moors.

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkzT9SBJEcohfLlBAQY-oB-XY4J6AFsWovJvgJH2dvpPLTTZk6wpB6xmNCuDje4NXdslx-lGKLwFvOQDvEKgkaBwp9oMa2LYh8ajlRul1ruKB6N6uQR2WxwpP7lSfZXr7PgoT27xdKZSA/s1600/IMGP4137.JPG

► Conquered in 1147 by Afonso Henriques for the Christians, the Castle was a major victory in the reconquest of Portugal.

(c) Palácio da Pena and Pena Park
The upper gate of the Castle of Moors leads the road up to Pena, opposite the lower entrance to Parque da Pena.

+- letih berjalan sehari suntuk sampai tertidur masa bergambar gatai -+

The Palace of Pena is entered through an impressive stretch of gardens with lakes and follies; a great place for a picnic or a stroll.

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgU3C8zrd5FIRNBPKumt01NlWho8PSk65zvh_4wAUOSN1Uo-eH9puchreY79aic5cu4kif4wbKQ2PAiSmfeL2VrfvNsVvzCDgI-WrgsQv1RInV9GZMaWW41a8C9VX1fLbi702pt5n1W-Lg/s1600/IMGP4196.JPG

At the top of the Park is fabulous Palace of Pena, a Disney-esque Palace within its pink, yellow, grey and red silhouette and with monsters guarding doorways.

Sekali lagi agak menyedihkan jugak bilamana tempat ni bukan lagi milik orang Islam, maka ada lah jugak ukiran pelik2 kat istana tu.

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHVnimb8EbmFTmzg6LFZj4dDud-DK8RQYYN73paJV8ypv1s49mf2Tdu4jRpC_k2mmYhyfCWXULLatF4C4foAPmAmnOGz8EbNG_UZNIPXouQLY1L4KP6rB_pnWFTj364Ch-OZ2rt7DCS7Q/s1600/IMGP4171.JPG

This is a place which is a cape that forms the westernmost point of both mainland Portugal, mainland Europe and the Eurasian land mass. In other words it’s “The Other West Coast”. If you look real closely you might even see New York across the way. *tapi kitorang tak nampak lah sebab sampai sana dha malam, gelap gelita apa pun tak nampak*.

Those were among the places that I've visited during my trip to Lisbon about 3 and half years ago.

Untuk list nak cari restoran2 kat Lisbon, leh tengok kat sini(click here)

+- Side Menu: (1) dan (5): Portugese Soup, (2) Apple + Cinnamon + madu + Gula; (3) sotong bakar; (4) Icecream cake macam Vienneta tu -+

Paling penting bila sampai kat Portugal ialah untuk mencuba sendiri Portuguese Tart. memang jauh beza rasa dia berbanding dengan apa yang I pernah makan kat Malaysia sebelum tu. Sedap sampai pejam2 mata masa makan sebab menikmati keenakan rasa Portugese tart tu. Bil atengok balik gambar food ni semua pun, tiba2 rasa macam nak gi sana lagi. Hhuhuuhhu...tempting nyer Portuguese food.

I malas nak buat banyak2 entry.

Janji korang tinggal komen kat entry ni lepas korang dah jenguk, baru lah rasa berbaloi sikit jerit perih penat lelah I korek balik gambar2 dari folder lama untuk share cerita ni dengan korang ehehehhe.

"Adeus!"
